- Show Opens October 13, Co-Hosted with CEATEC -
- October 6, 2026
The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association, Inc. (Chairman: Koji SATO) is pleased to announce the details of the joint exhibit by JAMA’s 14 member manufacturers at Japan Mobility Show Bizweek 2026 which will be held from October 13 through October 16, 2026 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture. As in 2024, the show will be co-hosted with CEATEC, bringing the mobility and digital industries together in one place to promote co-creation across industry boundaries. Admission to the show is free of charge, but advance online registration for visitors is required and is now open (at https://www.japan-mobility-show.com/).
Joint Exhibit by JAMA Member Companies
Under the concept "MOVE JAPAN," the exhibit presents six initiatives that take JAMA's "New Seven Priority Challenges" as their starting point. Guided by the belief that "no single technology can move the future on its own," JAMA’s 14 member companies have brought together their technologies and initiatives in an exhibit that lets visitors experience, as a single narrative, the challenges being taken on to resolve social issues and thereby help realize the future society that lies beyond them.
Connected Challenges, Leading to the Future
The exhibit is organized into six areas. Each area explains why the mobility industry is tackling the social issues it faces, why that work matters and what kind of mobility-based society the industry aims to achieve, while presenting technologies, services and demonstration projects from JAMA’s 14 member companies. These represent current efforts towards real-world implementation. Going beyond simply introducing technologies and services, the exhibit enables visitors to gain a good understanding of the social issues each initiative aims to resolve, the future it seeks to realize, and the new value and possibilities that emerge as initiatives and technologies connect.
- Multi-Pathway: Energy choices that leave no one behind
The challenge of building a society in which people can optimize their mobility by choosing the energy best suited to where they are, whatever their geographical location or use needs may be. - Hydrogen Adoption: Realizing the Hydrogen Artery Initiative by connecting priority regions via trunk routes to build a hydrogen society
The challenge of delivering the hydrogen produced to communities, making it a "usable energy" that powers towns and logistics. - Joint Logistics: Joining hands to build connected social infrastructure
Companies looking beyond their own walls and pooling their transport capacity and data. The challenge of making Japan a true logistics powerhouse, where the delivery of goods to consumers can be carried out at all times. - Autonomous Driving: Zero fatalities, Freedom of mobility
The challenge of creating a society in which everyone, regardless of age or geographical location, can move around freely, safely, and with peace of mind. - Dynamic Wireless Power Transfer: Road infrastructure that supports the mobility of the future
The challenge of resolving the various issues facing BEVs and FCEVs, which are powered by electric motors, with support from road infrastructure. - Circular Economy: Making the most of value to the very end, with the Japanese spirit of cherishing things
The challenge of shaping the future of Japanese manufacturing on the premise of circularity.
Creating Tomorrow's Way of Life, Together
At the end of the exhibit, a large-scale visual display depicts the way of life that the future heralds, once the technologies and services for addressing the New Seven Priority Challenges, including the six initiatives described above, have been implemented in society. The future depicted is not one that any single corporation or industry can achieve alone. From "making cars" to "moving society" and by connecting across corporate and industry boundaries, JAMA member companies aim to implement these initiatives in society as systems used in everyday life. To that end, JAMA will invite ideas and proposals from startups, universities and research institutions, companies and organizations representing many different areas of endeavor as well as from visitors to the show, leading to the co-creation of new value and its real-world implementation.
Now Accepting Bookings for the Show’s Workshops and Input Sessions
Newly launched this year, the workshops and input sessions are hands-on programs in which participants take the lead in their own learning and discovery. Participation is free of charge in both the workshops, where participants work with their own hands to give shape to co-creation (six programs, running as 12 sessions in total), and the input sessions, where they encounter leading insight (16 themes). Bookings are being accepted through the Meet-up Box platform (https://jms-meetup-box.com/).
Co-Hosted with CEATEC 2026
Amid sweeping change in the environment surrounding society and industry, no single technology and no single industry can respond to such change on a stand-alone basis. Approaching this from their respective vantage points of mobility and digital technology, the Japan Mobility Show and CEATEC were first co-hosted on the same dates at the same venue in 2024, with the aim of promoting co-creation across industry boundaries. In 2026 the two organizations will further strengthen that partnership, developing initiatives to create encounters and accelerate co-creation, including a special dialogue session between the chairmen of both organizations on the show’s opening day as well as cooperation on the CEATEC 2026 exhibition.
Visitor Pre-Registration
Admission to the show is free of charge, but visitors are required to register in advance. Please register through the official website (https://www.japan-mobility-show.com/). Note: Japan Mobility Show Bizweek 2026 and CEATEC 2026 share a single registration system, and a single registration grants admission to both events.
