GIGA FUEL CELL
This fuel cell (FC) powered heavy-duty truck will be shown to the public for the first time. The vehicle has been jointly developed by Honda Motor Co.,Ltd. (Honda) and Isuzu, pooling their respective technologies and expertise since entering a joint research agreement in January 2020.Isuzu provided the GIGA heavy-duty truck, and Honda, the FC system for GIGA's powertrain. Both companies believe that FC technologies fueled by hydrogen, which produce zero CO2 emissions, are ideal for trucks that are designed to carry heavy loads over long distances and long hours of operation.Isuzu is working to bring a production model to market in 2027, with vehicle testing on public roads taking place during this fiscal year. This clean heavy-duty FC truck.which also minimizes noise and vibration, will accelerate the pace towards a carbon neutral society.

ERGA EV
Isuzu developed this BEV route bus with a fully flat floor to realize a carbon neutral society. Making use of the layout flexibility of BEV, the floor has been made fully flat. Passengers can board the bus as easily as conventional low-floor buses with diesel engines. In addition, removing the steps at the rear cabin provides barrier-free movement when on board. Smoother acceleration and deceleration, as well as lower levels of vibration and noise, greatly improve safety and comfortability. As a vehicle that not only contributes to the environment but also embodies the public transportation of the future, we aim to bring it to market by the end of FY2024.

EVision Cycle Concept
Isuzu proposes a battery-replaceable solution as another path towards carbon neutrality. It utilizes the know-how we have acquired through participation in the entrusted project for battery-replaceable EV trucks*, which was publicly offered by the Ministry of the Environment. Downtime (non-operating time) during charging is an issue for BEVs. This solution helps maximize operational efficiency by the ability to quickly replace depleted batteries with charged ones, thus greatly reducing waiting times for charging. Furthermore, by operating vehicles and batteries separately, it is expected to solve various social issues such as the effective use of resources and utilization of renewable energy through battery sharing among trucks. Through new solutions that expand from “battery replacement,” we will create social value that goes beyond carbon neutrality to improve our lives in the future.
