The first exhibit is a **“Satellite Communication–Based Remote Operation Solution for Construction Machinery,”** jointly developed with Sharp Corporation. By combining Sharp’s compact and lightweight satellite communication terminal with ARAV’s remote operation technology, this system enables stable video transmission and control even in mountainous areas, remote islands, or disaster zones where cellular networks are unavailable. It allows remote and autonomous operation without the need for dedicated on-site infrastructure, enhancing safety, addressing labor shortages, and advancing DX in the construction industry.

The second exhibit is a **remote operation training simulator** utilizing Triarrow Corporation’s *JUKI de GO*. This simulator reproduces an unmanned construction environment without requiring expensive equipment or special network setups. The video feed responds in real time to joystick inputs, allowing users to intuitively understand remote operation workflows. Easy to install in educational settings, corporate training, or public events, it provides a practical and accessible training experience.

At the Kansai Electric Power booth we will present our efforts to expand and advance solutions such as EV charging services and energy management systems aimed at realizing a smart mobility society. It depicts our concept of a future smart mobility society as a single city and offers a three dimensional view of how land sea and air mobility connect with the energy systems that power them. A large video wall will screen original content that complements the scene shown in the diorama. It explains the initiatives we are pursuing including the expansion of charging infrastructure, wireless charging, autonomous driving services, and the development of charging infrastructure for flying cars eVTOL. Within the booth a guide avatar serves as the host, speaking to visitors while it synchronizes with the video and the diorama to make the future feel tangible. ASV (Advanced Safety Vehicle) refers to automobiles equipped with systems that contribute to safe driving. The ASV Promotion Plan is a project by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism to promote the development, practical application and dissemination of ASV technology. For over 30 years since fiscal year 1991, it has been working towards reducing traffic accidents through the practical application of ASV technology. In its current seventh phase, the plan focuses on promoting adoption activities aimed at ensuring that more people ‘gain a proper understanding’ and ‘actually use’ these vehicles.

At this year's Japan Mobility Show, you can try out the “ASV Driving Simulator” that realistically recreates the driving assistance features of ASVs, which are difficult to experience during normal road driving. It allows you to safely simulate how cruise control functions on motorways and how driving assistance features work when turning right at intersections. Furthermore, the latest ASV features are introduced via the VR head-mounted display, the “ASV Immersive Test Drive VR”. Additionally, the “ASV Tech Search JMS2025 ver.” system allows you to investigate the driving assistance features fitted to various models from domestic and international manufacturers, enabling you to discover what functions are available for your own vehicle.

Although advanced driver assistance systems enhance driving safety and comfort, their capabilities remain limited. They are 'driver assistance' systems, not 'autonomous driving' systems. At the ASV Promotion Plan booth, we will convey the message that overconfidence in these systems can be dangerous. We will also be introducing 'Drive Safe!', a website that provides ASV information from the user's perspective.

JAF ROAD SERVICE special support teams provide assistance during natural disasters and other emergencies, but tow trucks, road service patrol vehicles, and car carriers have limited capacity to transport equipment. In view of the need to retrieve equipment from distant bases, JAF has formed a rapid response unit comprising highly skilled staff from across the nation and deployed Disaster Support Vehicles to enable swift rescue operations.

This vehicle is not only on display but also featured in a live demonstration. JAF Road Service staff and an MC clearly demonstrate what the vehicle can do—not just through words, but in a way that is easy for visitors to understand. We avoid using technical terms and explain how the vehicle works in a simple, easy-to-understand way for visitors of all ages, from children to adults.

Please stop by the JAF booth and enjoy the experience! Each demonstration lasts about 15 minutes and is held 4 to 5 times per day.

The system accurately tracks surrounding vehicles and transmits data to autonomous cars every 100 milliseconds. ■Adverse Weather Automated-driving Research Environment — Co-Developed for Repeatable ADAS/AV Verification
In partnership with Applus+ IDIADA (Spain), we have developed an indoor “Adverse Weather Automated-driving Research Environment” for Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems and Autonomous Vehicles (ADAS/AV). The facility replicates harsh weather conditions – rain, fog, snow, glare – and diverse traffic scenarios with high precision and repeatability. Regardless of the weather outside, it allows rigorous safety and reliability evaluations under any environment. This accelerates real-world deployment of autonomous driving technologies, ensuring trust and safety in every journey.
